The
tour Hassan the 2nd and the mausoleum Mohammed V :
Symbol of Rabat, this monument was settled in the 12th century
and it is the unique vestige if what it had to be the biggest
mosque in the world, after Samara in Iraq.
The project was abandoned in 1199 at the death of the sultan
Yacoub el-Mansour. In front of it we can see the green roof
of the mausoleum Mohammed V, Hassan’s father. Its construction
was achieved in 1971 and it used all the best from the architecture
and arabian-andalous craftsman’s trade. |
