The Atlantic coast shelter not only many
imperial cities but also coloured plains that reach to the fine
sands beaches. Cereals, raisins, olives, rice are all an example
of what we can find on the moroccan fertile plains, which occupy
an important place at the economic level of the country. .
These plains are frequently very vast. Laying from
the mountains of Rif to the Middle Atlas, the basin Sebou (36
000 km²), it compose plateaux, water courses several hills
and fertile plains that allow the culture of many aliments. In
fact the plain Rharb is one of the smallest plains with a surface
of 3000 km². This plain distinguishes of the others by the
presence of the forest Mamora where they exploit the eucalyptus.
Morocco possesses many water courses as Sebou,
Souss, Moulouya, Dra and Dades. The courses propagate to the big
rivers and eventually to the seaside and to the Ocean. However,
the amount of water varies with the season. In fact in winter they
are subject to freeze and in summer they are subject to dryness.
Conseqently they don’t offer a source on which we can count.
This is a big problem for Morocco, particularly concerning the agriculture.
