Around a third of the moroccan territory is covered with mountains that reach an impressive height. Morocco has four important mountain chains. Firstly, in the North of the country the mountains Rif border the Mediterranean sea.

The highest peak reach 2456 m and has the name od djebel Tidighine. The Rif proposes different surfaces according to the altitudes of this regions. In fact, at east we find a vegetation with fir trees cedars, etc. On the other side there are dry and arrid steppes.
