There were more than 30 000 workers who worked more than 50 million hours to edify what is one of the biggest mosque of the world. This building site of nine ha needed a very high technologie. But its position in the border of the ocean and the hight (210 m) obliged the engineers to innovate the building techniques.

In its general configuration, the mosque Hassan the 2nd is a complexe of 200 m length and 100 m larger and 60 m hight. The structure is reinforced concrete, dreesed with issues of the craftsman’s trade. The outside façade is in marble, titan. The construction of the mosque Hassan the 2nd, make part of a large project of urban fitting out.

There are fountains and the hammam underground to be visited, which inherit the roman tradition, the coloumns are covered with venitian stucco, and the lustres with the Fes blacksmith.
Note that the architect of this wonder is a french, Michel Pinseau, and that the enterprise is Bouygues. There were 10 000 craftsmen who worked night and day inside and outside the mosque.
